Boston Bakes

I love bakeries

I love all of the independent, local bakeries and cafes in the Boston area. They are the shining beacons I see in every square, where people go to get daily treats and pick-me-ups. It's part of why I love this city. As a baker myself, I love trying out new pastries and experiencing new flavors. I'm always looking for an excuse to go into bakeries that I've never been to before. It's amazing how many small cafes are hidden in the city and suburbs.

I started my quest by consuming as many chocolate chip cookies as I could find. No two chocolate chip cookies are the same, but they are all delicious. This isn't a comparison or a ranking, I am just on a mission to go to every bakery in the Boston area. There may not always be cookies, but there will always be tasty treats. Join me!

Curious about where I've been or plan to go? Here's a map of bakeries and cafes that I've visited or have been recommended to me. If you've got something that's not on my list, let me know: elizabeth@kowalski.engineer
